Why Do I Have Hip Pain?
Hip pain can be contributed to so many factors within the hip itself. The External rotators of the hip consists of 6 small muscles which all externally (laterally) rotate the femur in the hip joint. Injury to the muscle can occur relatively easily due to the large loads it is placed under, in day to day patterns such as walking running and even in the seated position. These repetitive movements to direct traumatic tears. Changes here can lead to bursitis type reactions where the primary symptoms are pain over the hip. Alternatively there can be direct pain into the middle of the buttocks. Having a direct pressure over the sciatic nerve where is pierces through muscle belly. This can contribute to Sciatic neuralgia symptoms such as tingling, numbness and direct pain down the leg.

Sessions Needed
Typically a 45 minute initial consultation will include assessment and treatment. Follow up treatments usually go for 20mins which is purely focused on treatment and improving Range of Motion and pain and discomfort.I usually will start of between 3, to 5 treatments and see if that can be resolved within that period. Sometimes one session may be sufficient if the condition isn't too severe.

Post treatment is just as important as pre treatment because it is all about prevention, typically known as prehab. The Key elements of Prehab are:
